We caught up with Lisa and Lee to find out a bit more about the business…
q. Tell us a bit about your business?
Lisa Roberts Catering is a local company based on local good ingredients and customer service. We cater for all types of events within the Home Counties.
q. How did the business start?
We come from a hotel restaurant background so our business is about good customer service and hard work. We set up in 2006 running the franchise at Dunstable Downs Golf Club. Lee came on board in 2012 and set up our outside catering. We service many corporate clients on a daily basis though the 3 counties as well as canapé parties, weddings and private home catering.
q. Where did you get your passion for food?
Our passion for food and service comes from our hotel background, working for the country club brand for many years. We love good home cooked food as well as rustic Mediterranean dishes We are always trying to improve our knowledge.
q. What made you decide to open a shop in Ashton Square?
We wanted a local site that would allow people to come in off the high street and discuss their requirements and see how we do our business with our lovely open kitchen and warm reception area. We did not want to hide in a unit on some industrial site. Ashton Square seemed the perfect choice with the market and other shops like the Cake House.

q. What next for your business?
For us now it’s important to establish ourselves in the area and grow the company one step at a time. Our new private restaurant “The Dining Room” will open from April for parties or conferences up to 30 people.
