Dunstable Town Council are delighted to announce the completion of Phase 1 of the garden project at The Square Methodist Church, Ashton Square, Dunstable.

To mark the occasion, the Mayor of Dunstable, Councillor Gloria Martin, has carried out a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new garden.

The project has been designed and managed by the Town Council who have implemented the new planting with very generous support and assistance from Henderson and Taylor, the main contractors for the Dunstable High Street Improvement works.

The project would not have been possible without funding from:

  • The CBC Ward Councillor Grant Fund
  • Historic England’s High Street Heritage Action Zone
  • Dunstable Joint Committee
  • The Square Methodist Church using its own funds.

Further improvements are planned in Phase 2 on the south side of the Church for the new year.

We hope that people will enjoy this garden for many years to come.
