Dunstable was the place to be on Saturday 10 June, as an array of over 190 vintage vehicles was on display in Priory Gardens. The Dunstable Classic Motor Rally arranged and funded by Dunstable Town Council brought crowds of visitors to admire a wide range of vintage cars, from pre-war models to modern classics.

Visitors enjoyed live performances from The Barn-Ettes, Luke White and The Vauxhall Luton Male Voice Choir, alongside plenty of activities for the whole family and delicious food. Middle Row Market was across the road in Ashton Square where visitors could shop for everything from fresh produce to artisan crafts.

On the same day, The Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard Truck Convoy went through the town. The High Street was lined with eager supporters as the convoy made its way through Dunstable. The Mayor of Dunstable, Cllr Liz Jones joined the convoy in a CMG HGV named ‘Kenny’ and gracefully hopped out at The Clock Tower to join The Classic Motor Rally and at Middle Row. Talk about arriving in style.

Dunstable Town Mayor, Cllr Liz Jones, said “It’s been a brilliant day in Dunstable with all the free activities going on across the town. It’s been lovely to see so many people come out and support the Town Council’s Motor Rally and Middle Row Market. The extra special Truck Convoy added to the day, and it was a privilege to have been asked to travel in the convoy into Dunstable’’.
