Dunstable Town Council is proud to announce a significant step in its commitment to transparency and accessibility by implementing live streaming of council and committee meetings and open public meetings (surgeries).

Live streaming meetings enable residents to observe the decision-making process and gain insights into local issues from the comfort of their own homes.

All council and committee meetings, including regular sessions and special meetings, will be live streamed on the Council’s YouTube channel. This means residents can tune in and watch proceedings in real time.

Dunstable Town Council has launched open public meetings (surgeries) across five wards. These meetings will provide an opportunity for residents to attend in person, ask questions and engage directly with council members on specific issues. Meetings are held monthly, with each meeting being in a different ward. West Ward surgery took place on Saturday 23 September and was greatly received by residents. Dunstable Town Mayor, Cllr Liz Jones said, “We are excited to take this step forward in our commitment to transparency and open governance. These initiatives will make it easier for our residents to stay informed and engage with us.”

The Dunstable Town Council invites all Dunstable residents, community organisations, and stakeholders to take advantage of these new transparency measures.
