Dunstable Town Council is proud to announce the opening of its brand-new play area at Kingsbury Recreation Ground. It offers an array of exciting equipment for children of all ages and abilities to enjoy. This much-anticipated redevelopment of the play area will be a focal point for the local community.

Located in Kingsbury Recreation Ground, just off Luton Road, the new playground features slides, swings, multi-play units, play panels and climbing challenges, encouraging physical activity and imaginative exploration.

There is inclusive play equipment that caters to individuals of all abilities including an accessible seesaw and roundabout. There are also designated picnic spots and seating areas.

The opening of the Kingsbury Recreation Ground Play Area marks a significant milestone in Dunstable Town Council’s efforts to provide quality recreational opportunities for residents.

Cllr Liz Jones, Dunstable Town Mayor said: “I am really pleased to see the re-development of the play area. The inclusive play equipment that has been installed alongside many other pieces of equipment provides the opportunity for all to come together and enjoy outdoor play. It’s been lovely to have visited over the opening weekend to see how much it is being enjoyed and to have received such positive feedback.”

Kingsbury Recreation Ground will also get the addition of a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) at the end of September 2023. This will provide further recreational opportunities as requested by the local community. This will be the first MUGA invested by Dunstable Town Council.
