“Well I did say it was going to be a quiet week!”
Just two Mayoral appearances this week from Councillor Liz Jones…
The Quadrant Shopping Centre joined forces with the Town Council to host a Halloween event on Friday. A day of fun filled activities, crazy golf, face painting and more. The Quadrant was packed throughout with people coming along to enjoy the free activities. “It was great to see and hear the positivity, and the smiles on everyone’s faces,” said the Town Mayor. “The positive impact these joined-up events have on our town, retailers, and residents is vast and I look forward to seeing them continue.”
On Friday evening, Cllr. Jones attended the Totternhoe Parish Councils annual Front Garden Awards Night. “Having been asked to judge earlier in the summer, it was nice to be there to award the winners with their prizes,” said the Town Mayor.
Over the weekend, Cllr. Jones has been supporting the Royal British Legions Poppy Appeal, collecting at Sainsburys, Tesco and Aldi. Fellow Councillors have also signed up to help in the coming days!
